Exterior Painting Process:
First and foremost we schedule a day and time that is convenient for you to walk through your exterior paint job. As we walk through your exterior paint job, we go over in detail the steps and processes that will be used to give you the job you will be contracting with us to do. We at The Paint Doctor have spent years developing these processes so we can better serve our clients.

Step 1: We receive your color scheme or we have our color consultant work with you to create one. If you are not changing colors of your home and you do not know what the colors are, we will have the colors matched and submit them for your approval.
Step 2: We will have our wash supervisor schedule a time with you to come out and soft wash the exterior of your home.
Step 3: We will schedule a day and time to start the work.
Step 4: We will arrive at our set time as contracted and begin the preparation work, which can include scraping, sanding, caulking, cleaning, and priming, etc. At this time, we will identify any items that may seem out of the ordinary, i.e. windows that don’t open, rotten wood, and dripped paint from previous contractors. We also place protective covers over walkways and decks, landscaping, door hardware and so on.
Step 5: We begin painting. As we paint, we continue to re-evaluate areas that have been prepped to see if any additional work needs to be done. At the end of the day we will do a walk through with you to show you our progress and to reconfirm with you the number of days we expect the job to last.
Step 6: We finish painting the house and begin to walk through the house in detail before we schedule a walk through with you.
Step 7: We schedule a walk through with you. Any items that are found are marked with blue/green tape. These items are taken care of on the spot.
Step 8: All paint and materials are consolidated and labeled for your later use.
Step 9: Final payment is collected and we leave your house in the condition you contracted us to do so.
Step 10: A follow up call or email is given a few weeks after the completion of the job to make sure all is well.
